The windmill was spinning  as the mill ground across the body.  She never meant to kill him .  It had been a mistake .  he thrust his  epee at her throat.

She defended  herself thrusting and paring.  He lost his balance and fell beneath the wheel.  The winds outside made it impossible for her to stop the wheel.

She walked outside sat on the steps and wept.

The  wheel finally ceased as her gaze stretched across the fields of tulips where she saw Hans running  towards her in the distance.

Her epee dropped from her hand into the baskets of black tulips that surrounded the  windmill……
